Needham Housing Authority's Mission

History of the NHA

The Needham Housing Authority was organized during a Special Meeting of the Board of Selectmen held on May 7, 1948.  It was organized under the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 121, as amended by Chapter 574 of the Acts of 1946 and by Chapter 200 of the Acts of 1948.

Throughout the ensuing decades, the Needham Housing Authority has served as the principle force for the creation of affordable housing opportunities in the Town of Needham.
